We’re doing it again! Grab your smocks and start creating!

Calling all artists to participate in the 2026 AWC Juried Art Exhibition!
This event is open to all artists—AWC membership is not required, and you do not need to attend the National to submit your work.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Judging will be conducted by local artist(s) along with a member of the whippet community. Artists may also choose to offer their pieces for sale through a silent auction during the event.

Artwork Requirements & Submission Guidelines

  • All submitted pieces must have been created within the past five years and must not have been displayed in any previous AWC Exhibition.
  • Each piece must be an original work created and submitted by the artist. If a piece is submitted on behalf of a family member, a signed release form must accompany the submission.
  • The submission deadline for all works is March 22, 2026. Any submissions received after this date will not be included in the online catalog (no exceptions).
  • All pieces must be delivered to the National in Pasco no later than Monday, April 13 at 12:00 PM. Any unsold works must be picked up by 12:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2026.
  • The show will be juried. Pieces will be awarded first through third place in each class within each division. First-place winners from each class will advance to compete for Best in Show. All entries will be eligible for People’s Choice Award.
  • Each artist may submit up to five total pieces, which may be distributed across multiple classes or concentrated within one class.
  • Artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the beauty and spirit of whippets when creating their pieces.
  • All artwork will be displayed in the Hospitality area at the National. The AWC and its representatives are not responsible for stolen or damaged works.
  • Artwork may be offered for sale at the artist’s discretion. A 25% gallery fee to the AWC will be deducted from the final sale price. Artists may set their own prices.

A limited number of pieces will be randomly selected for sale in the live auction at the National Welcome Party on Tuesday, April 14. You may choose one of the following options:

  1. Be included in the drawing and receive the sale price of your work, minus a 25% gallery fee. Any additional amount raised beyond that will be donated to the National.
  2. Be included in the drawing and receive the full sale price of your work, minus a 25% gallery fee.
  3. Opt out and not be included in the drawing for the live auction.

If an entry sells, the artist will be contacted. Entries must remain on display until the exhibit closes.
